Caitlin Clark Named to Forbes' 2024 List of the World's 100 Most Powerful Women

The accolades continue to pour in for Caitlin Clark, as the star of the Indiana Fever and reigning basketball sensation has once again made history. Just days after being named Time magazine's Athlete of the Year, Clark has earned a spot on Forbes magazine’s prestigious list of the 100 Most Powerful Women in the World for 2024.
Clark, who is making waves both on and off the court, is the first basketball player to ever make the Forbes list, and only the second athlete, following Serena Williams, to be recognized in the 20-year history of the ranking. Coming in at number 100, Clark is the youngest to make this year’s list, a remarkable achievement at just 22 years old. The next youngest woman on the list is pop superstar Taylor Swift, who is 34.

The list, which evaluates women based on four key metrics—Money, Media, Impact, and Spheres of Influence—has become one of the most anticipated rankings of influential figures globally. Clark’s inclusion is a testament to the profound impact she has had on the sports world and beyond.
Among the top five women on this year’s list are Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank, and Giorgia Meloni, the Prime Minister of Italy. Clark’s groundbreaking achievement places her alongside some of the most influential leaders and change-makers of the present day.
As Clark continues to dominate the basketball court, her influence and impact are expanding beyond sports, making her one of the most powerful women in the world today.
