The Harrison County Conservation Board (HCCB) is excited to announce the hiring of Brock Leaders as their new Natural Resource Manager and Weed Commissioner. Leaders, a native of Woodbine, Iowa, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the position, having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Policy and Planning from the University of Iowa.

Before joining the HCCB team, Leaders worked as a Roadside Technician 1 with the Benton County Conservation Board, where he gained valuable expertise in land management and environmental conservation. Interestingly, Brock is no stranger to HCCB, having previously interned with the organization, making his return a welcome "homecoming."

As Natural Resource Manager, Leaders will oversee the management and preservation of natural areas, as well as lead efforts in controlling invasive species and noxious weeds throughout Harrison County. His passion for conservation and strong background in environmental planning will be key assets in furthering the HCCB’s mission.

Residents are encouraged to stop and say hello if they see Brock out in the field. The HCCB team is eager for the community to get to know Brock and looks forward to the positive impact he will have on the county's natural resources.
