Stolen tractor in Crawford County recovered
Yesterday the Crawford County Sheriff's Office recovered a stolen 4030 John Deere Tractor which was taken from a farm near Charter Oak on December 27th. Arrested was 37 year old Tyler Leitz of Manning. Leitz is charged with possession of stolen property which is a class C felony and bond is set at $10,000. Personnel from the Sheriff's office received a tip that it may be at a rural Manning residence. Sheriff's Department personnel with the assistance of the Crawford County Attorney's Office went to the residence and located the tractor partially disassembled. Sheriff Jim Steinkuehler reported that Deputies Devin Jepsen, Fransisco Cruz and Todd Stater put forth outstanding dedication and hard work in bringing the case to a close as well as returning the tractor to its' original owner.
