Denison Job Corps Center Opens New Library with Community Support

(Denison, Iowa) The Denison Job Corps Center (DJCC) is proud to announce the opening of its new student library, a project made possible by the generous donations from the local community. The library, now fully stocked with books, will serve as a vital resource for students, fostering a culture of learning and development at the center.
Jakie Ramos Mendez, the Public Relations/Marketing Director for DJCC, expressed her gratitude to the community for their continued support. "We can’t thank this community enough for all the donations we received," Mendez said. "We filled the shelves up and our students are so excited to have this valuable resource available to them."
The center is still accepting book donations to further enrich the library’s collection. Those interested in donating can contact Mendez directly to arrange for pickup or other convenient donation methods.
In addition to the library’s opening, Denison Job Corps Center is actively seeking new opportunities for its students. Mendez encouraged local businesses and individuals to reach out with any job shadowing opportunities, volunteer positions, or business partnerships that could benefit students.
"We hope to have an amazing new year," Mendez added. "We’re focused on creating opportunities for our students to grow both personally and professionally, and we welcome any partnerships or events that can contribute to their success."
The Denison Job Corps Center remains committed to providing its students with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to succeed. Those who are interested in supporting the center or learning more can contact Jakie Ramos Mendez for more information.
