Local Denison Scouts Host Successful Chili Supper, Raising Funds for Food Pantries
The 19th annual Scouting for Food Chili Supper was a resounding success, bringing the community together for an evening of good food and generosity. Organized by local Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Girl Scouts, the event featured a homemade meal, complete with chili, desserts, and plenty of teamwork.
The event not only provided a warm and welcoming atmosphere but also served a greater purpose—supporting those in need. Three area food pantries benefited from the evening’s efforts, receiving 189 non-perishable food items and nearly $900 in cash donations to help purchase essential supplies.
From preparation to clean-up, the Scouts played a vital role in making the event happen, demonstrating their commitment to service and community engagement. Organizers expressed gratitude to everyone who attended and contributed to the cause, ensuring the event’s continued success for nearly two decades.
