Early Morning Crash in Denison Leaves Vehicle Airborne, Driver Rescued

DENISON, IA — The Denison Fire Department responded to a dramatic crash early this morning on 24th Street. A vehicle traveling southbound left the roadway and struck a neighboring hill, causing it to become airborne and crash into a nearby house. The vehicle flipped during the incident, ultimately landing upright but with its roof completely sheared off.
Firefighters were able to extricate the driver from the wreckage and assist with their transport to an awaiting ambulance. At this time, the condition of the driver remains unknown.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash. The Denison Fire Department was on the scene to ensure the safe removal of the driver and assist with the aftermath. Further details will be provided as they become available.
