Monona County power outages may last days

Power outages continue to affect Siouxland, with residents in Monona County potentially facing service interruptions for several more days.

Monona County Emergency Manager, Patrick Proroc, reports that areas including Onawa, Whiting, and Blenco may experience outages lasting through the weekend.

To assist those in need, warming stations have been set up, including one at the Onawa Community Center, located at 320 10th St.

Additionally, the Salvation Army will be distributing meals at 1 p.m. today at Sunshine Foods, 1002 11th St, Onawa, IA 51040.
