Kiron Haunted Trail Returns with Stephen King-Themed Frights and $1,000 Scare Contest

KIRON – The Kiron Haunted Trail is set to return this fall, bringing with it a chilling twist inspired by the works of famed horror author Stephen King.
This year’s event, titled “Tales from the King,” will run Friday and Saturday, October 17–18, at Kiron South Park. A special “Kiddie Hour,” free for families, will be offered from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., while the main trail runs from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. Admission is $10 per person.
Visitors can expect to step directly into scenes from King’s most iconic stories, including The Shining, It, Children of the Corn, Misery, and Christine. Each section of the trail is designed and built by local volunteers, offering guests a fully immersive horror experience.
Adding to the excitement, the trail will also feature a Pop-Up Scare Contest. Local participants will create their own fright stations along the trail, with the chance to win a $1,000 prize.
The Kiron Haunted Trail has become a tradition for thrill-seekers across the region, combining community creativity with Halloween fun.
