Former Hawkeye Star Cooper DeJean Launches Cereal to Support Children’s Hospital
Former University of Iowa football standout Cooper DeJean has found a new way to give back—through breakfast. DeJean recently unveiled Captain Coop’s Crunch Cereal, a charitable product that raises money for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
Fans can pick up the cereal at select Hy-Vee and Dick’s Sporting Goods locations, or order it online. DeJean has also released a matching cereal bowl, available on his website.
Proceeds benefit the Stead Family Children’s Hospital, which provides specialized pediatric care from infancy through adolescence, advances children’s medical research and prevention, and trains the next generation of health care professionals. The hospital is home to the well-known Hawkeye Wave tradition and remains Iowa’s only nationally ranked comprehensive children’s hospital.
