IKM Schools offering High School Construction Trades Classes
Manning Municipal Utilities partnered with the IKM-Manning Community Schools last year to start the H.S. Construction Trades Class. This is a hands-on trades class that gives students valuable real-world experience while also creating a beautiful new home for a future family in our school district. Last year they completed their 1st home and now because of the generosity of a local land developer, Larry & Sue Stangl, the program is taking on an incredible new project this year! Students will be building their 2nd home. A 1,700 sq. Ft. 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom ranch-style home here in Manning. This home will actually be available for purchase prior to the home being completed allowing the purchaser to work with the students to make certain interior choices.
