Denison Municipal Utilities General Manager Completes Leadership Certification Through Missouri River Energy Services
Denison Municipal Utilities (DMU) announced that General Manager Kevin Georgius has completed the Leadership, Excellence and Development (LEAD) Course, a professional certification program offered by Missouri River Energy Services (MRES). Georgius was among 24 utility professionals recognized for completing the program this year.
The LEAD program is an advanced training initiative designed to strengthen leadership within public power utilities. Participants completed four two-day sessions over the past year, focusing on key areas such as communication, collaboration, accountability, change management, learning from failure, and applied leadership.
According to DMU, the development of strong leadership within municipal utilities is essential to maintaining a reliable and resilient power supply for the communities they serve. The program is one of several initiatives by MRES aimed at supporting professional growth and operational excellence in public power organizations across the region.
