Crawford County Historic Preservation Commission Announces Kickoff of 175th Anniversary Celebration

Crawford County will officially begin a year-long celebration marking its 175th anniversary this January.
The Crawford County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to formally proclaim January 15, 2026, as “Crawford County Day” during its regular meeting on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. The proclamation will serve as the official launch of activities commemorating the county’s 175 years of history.
To mark the occasion, the Crawford County Historic Preservation Commission is inviting the public to attend a casual, come-and-go community gathering on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The event will be held in the First Floor Conference Room at the Crawford County Courthouse.
Community members are encouraged to stop by for light refreshments, visit with friends and neighbors, and reflect on the people, stories, and traditions that have shaped Crawford County since its founding. Organizers say the event is intended to honor the county’s past while looking ahead to its future.
The gathering is open to the public, and all residents are welcome to attend as Crawford County begins its 175th anniversary celebration.
