Kara Webb and Grant Fineran Continue Family Legacy as 2026 Irish Mother and Grand Marshall

A historic milestone will be celebrated this year as Kara Webb and Grant Fineran carry on a proud family tradition, each becoming third-generation honorees in their respective roles.

For the first time, the community will recognize not one, but two third-generation Irish honorees in the same year.

Kara Webb has been named the 2026 Irish Mother, continuing a remarkable family legacy. She is the daughter of Jack Webb and Kitty Knott. Irish heritage runs deep in her family, as both of Kara’s grandmothers previously held the title of Irish Mother. Jean Webb was honored in 1997, and Georgena Knott received the distinction in 2006. The tradition continued in 2024 when Kara’s uncle, Ty Knott, served as Grand Marshal. Now in 2026, Kara adds her own chapter to the family’s Irish story.

Grant Fineran will serve as the 2026 Grand Marshal, also representing a third generation of leadership. He is the son of Kevin and Diane Fineran. Grant’s grandfather, Jerry Fineran, served as Grand Marshal in 1999. His father, Kevin Fineran, followed in 2003. More than two decades later, Grant now steps into the same honored role.

The selections highlight not only individual achievement, but also a deep-rooted family commitment to Irish heritage and community involvement.

With three generations represented in both families, this year’s celebration stands as a testament to tradition, pride, and the enduring spirit of Irish culture.

Congratulations to Kara Webb and Grant Fineran as they continue a legacy that spans decades, proof that Irish tradition truly lives on.
