Bishop John E. Keehner Assigns Rev. Michael Cronin from St. Rose of Lima in Denison to Canon Law Studies in Rome, Italy
(Denison, IA) -- The Diocese of Sioux City has announced that the Most Reverend John E. Keehner has assigned the Reverend Michael Cronin from the pastorate of St. Rose of Lima Church in Denison to Canon Law studies in Rome, Italy, effective July 7, 2026.
Father Cronin will undertake his studies at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome. He has served as the pastor of St. Rose of Lima Parish for the past five years.
Reverend Shane Deman is assigned administrator of St. Rose of Lima Parish in Denison, Crawford County, and Manning, effective July 7, 2026. Father Deman will also serve as vice-rector for formation at Kenrick Seminary in Missouri, while continuing to serve as diocesan Director of Seminarians and Director of Clergy Continuing Education.
