Emergency Training Exercise Planned in Woodbine, Public Advised It’s Only a Drill
On June 13th, 2026 at about 8:30 AM, Woodbine Fire and Rescue, in cooperation with the Harrison County Emergency Management Agency and Azria Health Rose Vista care facility, will be conducting a fire drill and full functional exercise. This will take place at 1109 Normal St. in Woodbine.
During this drill and exercise, several emergency vehicles will be parked in the area with firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians in the area practicing for an incident. There will be hose lines pulled off the truck and drills being performed. THESE WILL BE DRILLS ONLY AND NO CAUSE FOR CONCERN.
We are asking that the public refrain from parking on Normal St. in the 1100 block the morning of June 13th to allow the departments to stage their apparatus. There will also be emergency vehicles parked on Park St. in the area.
This drill and exercise will take about 3 hours to complete.
If there are any questions about this, please reach out to Glenn Birks, Harrison County Emergency Management, at 712-644-2353.
