Denison Firefighters Assist in Harrison County Missing Person Search
Two members of the Denison Fire Department were among those assisting authorities in Harrison County earlier Wednesday morning as the search continued for a missing person following last week’s severe flooding near Persia.
Firefighters Tim Berry and Tyler Weller were part of the Denison crew sent to Harrison County to provide additional personnel and specialized equipment in support of the search effort led by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office.
The response included two apparatus, two John Deere Gators transported on the department’s special operations trailer, and an underwater dive drone.
The search is connected to flooding that damaged a section of roadway near Persia and led to the recovery of a vehicle from Spring Creek.
Authorities have continued searching the area and surrounding terrain as part of the ongoing effort.
