Denison Police Report Sunday Arrest, Minor Saturday Accident
The Denison Police Department is reporting two additional incidents from this past weekend.
The first involved arresting Lah Khu of Omaha, Nebraska near Arrowhead Drive at just before 1 p.m. on Sunday. Officers booked the 28-year-old male on public intoxication later that afternoon.
The other new report is about a traffic accident that took place at around 4 p.m. on Saturday. Authorities state that 28-year-old Eduardo Vazquez-Marquez of Manilla was traveling northbound on North 20th in his 2013 Chevrolet Silverado. He states that 24-year-old Evelyn Mendez Garcia of Denison blew the stop sign at that intersection while driving her 2010 GMC Terrain and side swiped him. Garcia later said that she did complete the full stop and did not see anyone when she looked both ways. Both drivers left the accident scene and proceeded to the 800 block of South Park Drive to call law enforcement. The minor damage the vehicles is estimated at $1,500 each. Garcia was also cited for not having valid insurance present.
