Sac County Public Health Hosting May 7th Vaccine Clinic
The Sac County Public Health Department announced a Johnson and Johnson clinic set for next week. The clinic will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, May 7th at the First Christian Church in Sac City. The May 7th clinic is replacing an April 14th clinic that was cancelled while the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) investigated an extremely rare blood clotting disorder linked to the vaccine. They will make 300 single-dose shots available to individuals 18 years of age and older. Walk-ins will be accepted during the clinic, but organizers recommend making an appointment by calling 712-662-4785 to expedite the process. There is no charge for patients to receive the vaccine, but individuals do need to bring a photo ID and their private insurance, Medicare or Medicaid card with them.
