Woodbine Tigers girls end historic season in state quarterfinals
The #7 Woodbine Tigers fell 81-60 against the #2 Newell-Fonda Mustangs in girls' basketball state quarterfinal action at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
The 2022-23 Woodbine team earned 23 wins, made the program's 5-on-5 and Wells Fargo Arena debut after the first Rolling Valley Conference title since 1983, and set a new tournament single-game team record with 12 made 3-pointers.
Nicole Sherer, Addison Erickson, and Kortney O'Day ended their Woodbine Tiger basketball careers in "The Well" on Wednesday.
