Iowa State's Beau Freyler previews Houston
Iowa State is preparing to face two different quarterbacks Saturday night in their Big 12 opener at Houston. Senior Donovan Smith and sophomore Zeon Chriss both played in a 34-0 loss at Cincinnati. Smith has played against ISU in the past. in 2021, he led Texas Tech to a 41-38 win over the Cyclones. Iowa State safety Beau Freyler says both quarterbacks have a similar style and will be different in preparing for two quarterbacks. Freyler says the first goal is to stop the run.
