Mayor Pam Soseman highlights trio of Monogram grant recipients
Mayor Pam Soseman says the City of Denison received thousands of dollars from the Monogram Loves Kids grant program.
She says it’s a big boost for departments and committees that are on tight budgets.
“If we didn’t have them locally we would not be able to apply for those grants so kudos to Monogram. Kudos to those departments. Kudos to the wellness committee. Job well done,” said Soseman.
She says $10,000 grants went to the Norelius Community Library and Denison Parks and Recreation with $9,000 awarded to the wellness committee. Soseman also says she hopes to hear positive feedback from the public during Wednesday’s community meeting about the wellness center. That event starts at 6:30 p.m. inside the Denison High School Fine Arts Center.
