Ida Grove man hospitalized after Highway 59 crash
The Iowa State Patrol reports a Saturday crash near Cobb Memorial Park injured an Ida Grove man.
Authorities say a 2021 Kia Seltos LX driven by 35-year-old Alan Kennedy of Ida Grove was traveling southbound when it crossed the center line for an unknown reason. It entered the northbound lane and struck a 1999 Ford F-350 and livestock trailer driven by 71-year-old Kenneth Hurley. The truck and trailer came to rest blocking traffic and the SUV ended up in the south ditch. The report says MercyOne Air Med transported Kennedy to MercyOne Siouxland in Sioux City with life-threatening injuries.
The Iowa State Patrol said Monday there was no update on his condition and the accident itself remains under investigation.
