Crawford County Supervisors amend budget to help begin tower construction
The Crawford County Board of Supervisors approved a budget amendment for the current fiscal year during their weekly meeting.
Chairman Kyle Schultz says part of that amendment means construction of new land mobile radio towers can move forward later this fall.
“It’s moving faster than I thought it would. They want to get concrete work done before frozen ground sets in so they can build all winter. The money was in the account already but we have to give emergency management the spending authority so he can make the purchases of our tower equipment as they come in and then there’s some jail improvements and some DHS stuff,” said Schultz.
He says the board heard no oral or written objections during the public hearing about the resolution.
