The Denison Volunteer Fire Department reported no injuries after responding to a structure fire in Arion at just after 4 p.m. Thursday.

D.V.F.D. says a long train delayed some first responders by blocking the entrance to Arion. The firefighters that beat the train quickly put out the fully-involved mobile home despite the wind chill being in single digits. Charter Oak, Dunlap, and Manilla responded to the scene along with Dow City-Arion and Denison. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
