No Injuries Reported After Tuesday Night Chimney Fire
The Denison Volunteer Fire Department reported no injuries after a Tuesday night chimney fire in the Northwood addition.
D.V.F.D. says they got a call at 9:05 p.m. and the fire had already expanded to the roof of the home by the time they arrived. Volunteers from Denison, Dow City-Arion, Vail, and Manilla eventually put the fire out despite icy conditions. Denison Municipal Utilities assisted by applying salt to the long driveway. Denison PD and an ambulance from Crawford County Memorial Hospital also responded to the scene.
