Denison Asking For Help Weathering Garbage Delays
Mayor Pam Soseman of Denison is asking that people not leave their garbage bins outside if pickup is delayed by holidays or severe weather.
She says the strong winds that happened during the week before Christmas is just one example.
“People left their trash bins out and we had trash being blown into the middle of the street and being hit by cars and then Public Works would have to go out and pick up the trash. We’re asking people to not leave the trash bins at the curbside for days on end,” Soseman said.
She says people should put their garbage out by 7:00 p.m. the night before it will be picked up and bring them back in by 11:00 a.m. the following morning. She says anyone with questions about garbage pickup can find information online or contact the City of Denison.
