Fatal Car-Semi Collision Near Holstein Wednesday
One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash happened in Ida County on Wednesday.
The Iowa State Patrol reports a 2018 Chevrolet Malibu stopped on Highway 59 near Holstein. Authorities say the car failed to yield to traffic as it left the stop sign and a westbound 2006 Peterbilt struck the car as it entered Highway 20. The unidentified driver of the Malibu sustained fatal injuries. The semi-truck driver is uninjured.
The collision remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
