Denison Will Explore Several Community Visioning Options
The City of Denison is looking at ways to use its Community Visioning grant during the first part of 2023.
Mayor Pam Soseman says they will bring in focus groups to study transportation and land management in early March.
“They will be older adults, mobility-impaired, parents, active recreationists, and the steering committee. We will bring all those committees together to meet with Iowa State and then they will gather that information and bring it back to us,” Soseman says.
She says working with a landscape architect and looking at trails are among other possibilities.
“I think we all have different visions of what this could look like but it’s my understanding that we could have several projects shelf-ready to move forward with,” Soseman says. “Those are some exciting things and, again, to all of the people who volunteer their time to do this: Thank you!”
She says they expect this part of the Community Visioning program to be completed by April.
