Western Iowa Networks Delivers Trio of Aureon Community Grants
Western Iowa Networks held check presentations for three different communities through the Aureon Grant Program on Tuesday.
The dollars awarded include $250 to Carroll County Conservation, $500 to the City of Arcadia, and $1,000 to Denison Parks and Recreation.
J.D. Siebert is a marketing representative for Aureon and he says the grant money can be spent on anything that benefits the community.
“I love it. This is the best part of my job. A lot of times I sit behind a desk. This is my chance to get out and see the people that have built us and give a little bit back to those people,” Sibert said.
Western Iowa Networks CEO Jeff Roiland says the Aureon network serves telecommunication providers and local projects across the state.
“We live and breathe these communities. Our employees reside in these communities and we’re part of the community leaders within and so it’s a resource for us to be able to give back and we’re proud to be able to do that,” Roiland said.
Roiland says they often encourage communities to keep applying for more grants, especially for different aspects of a large project.
