Crawford County Cattlemen Host Record-Setting Banquet
The Crawford County Cattlemen held a record-setting annual banquet this year.
Treasurer Clint Von Glan says they served more than 360 people.
“We gave out one more scholarship this year than we did last year. That was nice. As a whole, it was really good. A few new trophy buyers. A lot of door prizes. Did some fun drawings. Bob Boettger was our service award. Well deserved for everything he does for us and the whole community. It was just a nice gathering of people,” said Von Glan.
He says this event gets another busy calendar started with the Cattlemen serving many community events throughout the year.
“We like to highlight what we’ve all done with the money raised and who we helped. Everybody should just eat beef. That’s the main goal we have is to promote the product that we’re raising right here to guarantee everybody that we’re doing a good job of doing that and it’s a very safe and healthy product,” said Von Glan.
He says a grilling committee is taking shape and anyone interested in that can reach out to board members.
