HARLAN, IOWA – Southwest Iowans interested in increasing access to local foods in their towns are invited to a half-day workshop on local food resources, leadership, and community engagement. This free event is hosted by the Center for Rural Affairs and Golden Hills RC&D.

“The workshop will feature interactive training activities, discussion, technical assistance, and brainstorming on how to design and implement local food initiatives in your own communities,” said Deborah Solie, project associate with the Center. “Our goal is to help community members build capacity and increase fresh, locally-grown foods in their towns.”
