Updated Severe Weather Outlook for May 6, 2024 

The Severe Storms Prediction Center (SPC) in Norman, Oklahoma, has revised its assessment of severe weather impacts, to include an Enhanced Risk for the southwestern tier counties in Iowa. The rest of the listening area remains in a Slight Risk category. The primary threat appears to be from strong winds. Severe hail and occasional tornadoes cannot be ruled out, but are more of a threat for the central plains states.
