Arrest in Denison
On November 4 th , 2023, One Stop Shop at 306 N. 7 th St., reported their drive through window
had been broken out. Surveillance video shows a suspect entering through the broken window,
damaging, and taking a cash register with money in it and taking vape cartridges from the
counter area.
On November 11 th , 2023, Beer Thirty at 923 4 th Ave. South, reported their drive through window
had been broken out. Surveillance video shows a suspect entering through the broken window,
damaging, and taking a cash register with money in it and taking vape cartridges from the
counter area.
On December 30 th , 2023, El Michoacano at 924 4 th Ave South, reported their drive through
window had been broken out. Surveillance video shows a suspect enter the business through
the broken window, during this time he took the cash that was in the register, threw two
registers out of the drive through window and began to walk through the business entering the
office area. It is believed he was looking for other items of value.
During the investigation, it was observed that the same subject had entered the businesses
wearing a very distinct backpack, dark colored jacket, gloves, and a specific shoe type. This
subject would arrive at the business, walk around the buildings to verify no one was around and
would hide in the shadows if a vehicle approached.
On January 9 th , 2024, a suspect was identified, and a warrant search was conducted at his
residence. During this search, items matching what investigators were looking for were located
and seized.
The suspect, identified as John Tartiso Ayoub of Denison, was arrested, and charged with three
counts of Burglary in the 3rd Degree.
Suspects are presumed to be innocent until they are proven guilty.
