Carroll Man Arrested For Stealing Over $3,000 From His Employer -

(Carroll Broadcasting) - 20 year old Damarius Billmeier of Carroll was taken into custody Thursday for allegedly stealing over $3,000 worth of cash and merchandise from his place of employment in Carroll. According to Carroll Broadcasting, between May 24th and May 30th, Billmeier was viewed on video footage taking money from customers, placing it in his pocket, filling boxes with merchandise, and leaving the store without paying for it. Billmeier stole approximately $685 in physical money and around $2,500 in merchandise. He was arrested and charged with second-degree theft, a class D felony. He has been released from custody but is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on June 27th. A Class D felony in Iowa carries a maximum penalty of yp to five years in prison and $7,500 fine.
