Denison Alum to Speak on “Advocating for a Cause” with State Rep Steven Holt on July 30
The Crawford County Area Republican Women will be holding their regular meeting at Bella
Sera Restaurant in Denison at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. A “Dutch Treat” meal will
be available to order off the menu. The program at this meeting will be presented by Pam
(Hamilton) Gronau, Des Moines, formerly from Denison. Gronau will be speaking on her
experiences “Advocating for a Cause.” Iowa State Representative Steven Holt will join
Gronau to share what is being done about the concerns raised by Gronau.
Learn how Pam became an educational advocate with the goals of:
- Removing obscene materials from our schools
- Requiring students to use the bathroom that
correlates with their gender at birth
- Prohibiting gender identity and sexual
orientation from being taught in school
- Policies related to DEI (diversity, equity, and
inclusion)
- Require HHS (Health and Human Services) to
investigate cases of child abuse at hands of an educator
If attendees were unable to be at last month’s meeting where baby items were donated to
the Sparrow’s Nest at Crossroad’s of Crawford County, the club is still collecting items.
Crawford County Area Republican Women President Gwen Ecklund shared that interested
area Conservatives are invited to attend this meeting. Ecklund stated, “Our meetings are
for conservative men and students, as well as women. Guests are welcome from the area.
