Monona County officials asking for public's help in search for missing man
Monona County officials are asking for the public's assistance in locating 54 year old Bruce Vanmatre. He has not been located since Saturday, December 12th, Mapleton Mayor, Brent Streck posted to Facebook that he has called in more resources for the search, including Mapleton Fire, Mapleton Ambulance, and the Monona County Sheriff's office, which will be flying a drone around the area. Other agencies will be walking and searching, and may search residence's backyards, in which they will knock on doors to ask for permission to walk around properties. If buildings have been licked since Saturday they will need to look in them.
