UPDATE: Sentencing Hearing Rescheduled for Carroll Man Convicted of Child Exploitation and Pornography Production

The sentencing hearing for 48-year-old Lucas Oliver Knowles, a Carroll man arrested in October 2023 for sexual exploitation of a child and child pornography production, has been rescheduled to March. According to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa, Knowles remains in custody at the Sioux County jail after pleading guilty to four felony charges. These charges include sexually abusing a minor female victim, creating, storing, and receiving child sexual abuse material (CSAM), and possessing firearms as an admitted methamphetamine user.
Knowles’ sentencing hearing is now set for March 14. If the charges are served consecutively, the total maximum sentence he faces could exceed 100 years in prison.
