St. Anthony Issues Press Release on Scholarships
As part St. Anthony Regional Hospital and St. Anthony Foundation's mission to invest in the next generation of health care professionals, scholarship applications are now available through the St. Anthony Foundation for students pursuing a profession in a health care field, and range in amounts from $500 to $1,500.
St. Anthony Foundation Development Director, Trish Roberts stated, “we are proud to contribute to the continuing education of tomorrow’s health care leaders, scholarships are an investment that would not be possible without the support of donors and families who see the impact of the work we do and the programs we offer at St. Anthony.”
Available scholarships include: Sarah Keat Danner Healthcare Scholarship, Susan D. Ludwig Nursing Scholarship, Sharon Staton Peters Memorial Scholarship, Elizabeth Riedmann Healthcare Scholarship, Helen M. Schmitz Memorial Scholarship, Margaret Seidl Healthcare Scholarship, Dick and Marsha Simons Healthcare Scholarship, Rick Simons Healthcare Scholarship, Sheryl M. Venner Stoolman Memorial Scholarship, Toohey Family Scholarship, Bob and Mary Lou Ware Memorial Scholarship, Mary Thaler Yates Memorial Scholarship, the St. Anthony Auxiliary Scholarship and the St. Anthony Foundation Scholarship.
All scholarships require students maintain a 2.5 minimum grade point average. One application needs to be submitted to apply for all scholarships offered through the St. Anthony Foundation. Scholarship applications and guidelines are available from guidance counselors at most area high schools and community colleges, including Denison-Schleswig, Ar-We-Va, Audubon, Carroll Community, Coon Rapids-Bayard, East Sac County, IKM-Manning, Kuemper Catholic, Glidden-Ralston, Greene County, South Central Calhoun, Des Moines Area Community College and Western Iowa Tech Community College. Applications and guidelines can also be found on the St. Anthony website, or picked up at the St. Anthony Human Resources and Foundation offices.
