Wall Lake Prepares for Business Growth with New Commercial Development
The City of Wall Lake is laying the groundwork—literally—for future business expansion by replacing the airport hangar located just south of town. The move is part of a larger effort to create space for new commercial opportunities within the community.
City Clerk Chris Rodman says the city council has been considering options for the hangar site for quite some time. He explains that in order to sell land to interested businesses, the city first needed to have available, ready-to-develop parcels.
That process is now underway. Earlier this month, crews began dirt work to prepare approximately seven acres of land for future commercial use. While no specific businesses have been announced yet, Rodman says holding off on immediate development keeps the area flexible for a variety of projects.
