U.S. 30 Bridge Near Dow City Reopening Today After Six-Month Closure

Good news for drivers in Crawford County: the U.S. 30 bridge over the Boyer River near Dow City, which has been closed since late March for a deck replacement project, is expected to reopen today.
According to the Iowa DOT, crews are only waiting on the final step—painters arriving this morning—before traffic is allowed back on the bridge. Once that work is complete, the detour using U.S. 59 and Crawford County Road E-59 will be lifted, and motorists can once again travel directly on U.S. 30 through the area.
Drivers are reminded to continue using caution as finishing touches are wrapped up and as traffic resumes on the bridge.
