Crawford County Hunger Fighters Distribute 7,000 Pounds of Food to 187 Families
DENISON, Iowa — Crawford County Hunger Fighters provided thousands of pounds of food to local families during its monthly food distribution held Tuesday, Jan. 20, at the Presbyterian Church.
Organizers reported approximately 7,000 pounds of food were distributed to 187 families, serving a total of 286 adults and 170 children across Crawford County.
The group also thanked the volunteers who helped make the event possible, noting many braved harsh winter conditions to ensure those in need received assistance.
“A special thank you to all the volunteers that braved the cold yesterday to make sure those in need received the monthly food distribution,” organizers said. “They are truly dedicated volunteers.”
