Diamond Grinding Begins on M68 Near Manning; Traffic Delays Expected Through Week
Diamond grinding operations are set to begin Tuesday morning on County Road M68 near Manning, with impacts to traffic expected through the end of the week.
According to Carroll County officials, crews will start work at 8 a.m., focusing on smoothing the roadway surface along Delta Avenue between Iowa Highway 141 and 300th Street, weather permitting. The roadway will remain open during construction, though motorists should anticipate delays due to flaggers and a pilot car guiding traffic through the work zone.
The project is tentatively scheduled to wrap up by 6 p.m. on Friday, April 10, depending on weather and overall progress. The same crew recently completed work on Hawthorne Avenue between U.S. Highway 30 and Halbur and is expected to return there afterward to complete final surface work and pavement markings.
Anyone with questions about the project can contact Carroll County Secondary Roads at 712-792-3603.
