WIN Donates $30,000 to Support Breda Sesquicentennial Celebration
Breda, Iowa — April 15, 2026 — Western Iowa Networks (WIN) is proud to announce a
$30,000 donation in support of the upcoming Breda Sesquicentennial Celebration,
scheduled for August 6–7, 2027. The contribution will help fund a variety of events and
activities honoring the community’s 150-year history.
The support is especially meaningful given WIN’s deep roots in Breda, which date back to
the founding of Breda Telephone in 1905. Today, the company’s headquarters remain in
Breda, reflecting its continued commitment to the community it has called home for over
120 years.
As part of this support, WIN will sponsor all live entertainment for the celebration, ensuring
two full nights of music. On August 6th, attendees can enjoy performances by Kick and Not
Quite Brothers. The celebration will continue on August 7th with Shanx, Tyler Richton & The
High Bank Boys, and The Pork Tornadoes. In addition to supporting entertainment, WIN will
also provide complimentary Wi-Fi coverage near key gathering areas throughout the event,
helping attendees stay connected as they celebrate.
Breda Sesquicentennial Committee Member Dean Bruning said “The Sesquicentennial
Committee is very grateful for the very generous donation that WIN has given us. It will help
us provide a great celebration.” In addition to the main celebration weekend, several events
are planned leading up to 2027, including a Family-Friendly Iowa/Iowa State Tailgate Party
on September 12, 2026, and a Meal On Main event on October 10, 2026.
“Breda has a rich history and a strong sense of community, and we’re honored to support
this milestone celebration,” said Jeff Roiland, CEO of WIN. “Events like these bring people
together, celebrate local pride, and create lasting memories. We’re excited to play a small
part in making this sesquicentennial celebration something truly special.”
WIN remains committed to investing in the communities it serves and supporting initiatives
that enhance quality of life across the region. For more information and updates on the
