The Iowa State men’s basketball team landed their highest rated recruit in program history on Tuesday night. 5-star power forward Omaha Biliew announced live on ESPN that he will join the Cyclones for the 2023 class. The 6-8 forward is currently ranked 9th in the ESPN 100 for 2023.

Biliew started his high school career at Dowling Catholic before moving over to Waukee and helping lead the Warriors to the State Title in 2020 before playing last season at Link Year Prep in Missouri. Biliew is heading back to Waukee to play his senior season. Biliew averaged 8.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks this summer with MoKan Elite on the Nike EYBL circuit and helped the team win a Peach Jam championship last week.

Omaha’s brother Goanar played at Denison-Schleswig before competing at DMACC. He recently committed to continue his career at Bradley.

Iowa State currently has the third ranked recruiting class for 2023 after last week landing four-star forward Milan Momcilovic to join four-star wingman Jelani Hamilton. The Cyclones are coming off a Sweet 16 appearance last season in TJ Otzelberger’s first season at the helm.
