Probation Revoked For Former Police Officer Convicted Of Stalking, Burglary, And Willful Injury
(Carroll Broadcasting) – Carroll Broadcasting reports A former Carroll police officer faces up to nearly two decades in prison after a Polk County judge revoked his probation stemming from prior convictions for stalking, burglary, and other charges. According to court records, 29-year-old Walter Mackey Pacheco Belen of Pleasant Hill and formerly of Carroll, had his original sentence imposed last week for multiple violations of a court-issued protective order. Pacheco’s 19-year sentence is the result of December 2022 convictions in Polk County District Court for second-degree burglary, a class C felony, willful injury causing serious injury, a class D felony, and stalking and tampering with a witness or juror, aggravated misdemeanors. Pacheco briefly served with the Carroll Police Department from August 2020 to March 2021 before resigning.
