Carroll County Mask Mandate Update

Nearby counties have shown variance in their approach to face-covering mandates after the Governor’s latest COVID update.

After Governor Kim Reynolds’ newest proclamation that tweaked COVID mitigation measures, which includes easing restrictions on public gatherings and wearing masks. The Carroll County Board of Supervisors revised their face covering mandate which is set to expire on Feb 15th. Reports show that Carroll County Public Health and Carroll County Emergency Management suggest a slow-paced vaccine roll-out. They also state that the new strains of the virus making their way into the state are reasons not to repeal the mandate. Multiple supervisors mentioned while residents are doing the right things, they should not try to forgo the mandates and instructions from the state. A motion was made and unanimously passed to change the resolution to strongly encourage face-coverings until April 15th. A mandate will still exist at the Carroll County Courthouse.
