Denison Police reporting minor Wednesday accident near Burger King
The Denison Police Department is reporting a minor motor vehicle accident that happened Wednesday at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Highway 30. The related document indicates that the 16-year-old driver of a 2005 Jeep Liberty was traveling eastbound in the left lane. A 2005 Ford F350 driven by 20-year-old Michael Gaul was also traveling east in the right lane. The Jeep was reportedly approaching Main Street and Highway 30 where the light was green with a separate vehicle in the intersection waiting to turn left. The Jeep proceeded to change lanes but improperly checked for other vehicles in the right lane and sideswiped Gaul's Ford pickup. Both vehicles turned off into the Burger King parking lot and reported the accident to the police. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued. Damage estimates totaled $3,600 for the pickup and $2,500 for the Jeep.
