Denison Police reporting Monday traffic collision near Tropical Sno
The Denison Police Department is reporting a motor vehicle accident that happened at approximately 5:53 a.m. Monday near Highway 30 and South 15th Street.
The 1972 Plymouth Barracuda driven by 43-year-old Francisco Alvarez of Denison and 2006 GMC Sierra piloted by 46-year-old Guadalupe Garcia-Rodriguez were both traveling east on Highway 30. The related document indicates that Alvarez stopped to initiate a left-hand turn onto South 15th and then Garcia-Rodriguez rear-ended Alvarez. The Barracuda reportedly did not have a left taillight or operational turn signals at the time which may have contributed to the accident. No injuries were reported. Police cited Guadalupe-Rodriguez for following too closely. The damage estimates totaled $1,000 for each vehicle.
