Shelby County Sheriff’s Report
A Shelby County Sheriff’s report indicates that authorities were called to an incident North of Irwin last Thursday.
Shelby County authorities were dispatched to a location that’s roughly a mile North of Irwin on Highway M-47 for a vehicle in the ditch. After discovering the vehicle, officers found 33-year-old Tyler Schechinger of Manilla, intoxicated with an open container. He was charged with an open container as a driver, an OWI 2nd offense, possession of a dangerous weapon while under the influence, and was cited for failure to maintain control of his vehicle. Schechinger was taken into custody and transported to the Shelby County Jail, where he was released after posting bond.
