8 Local Teachers Were Awarded Grants from The Agriculture Literacy Foundation
Crawford County Farm Bureau has announced that 8 Local Teachers were selected to receive grants from the Agriculture Literacy Foundation.
The grants allow schools or teachers to integrate agriculture in the classroom or for after-school programs with an academic focus. The eight teachers awarded these grants include Judy Jacobsen, Lorine Linde, Beverly Wolterman, and Diane Casey from IKM-Manning Community School District. Jennifer Linde from the IKM-Manning Middle School and Anyssa Casillo from Boyer Valley Elementary. With 2 Denison Middle School teachers, Melissa Kaub and Molly Reisz. The grants fund ag-related classroom projects and programs include Paper Circuits in Tech, Hydroponics & Aquaponics, Friendship Garden, Learn about Hatching, Brood, and Raising Chickens, Egg Hatching Live Cam, Ag in the Classroom materials, and a Subscription to Generation Genius.
